It was on when I put the telly on last night. I usually enjoy those sort of ceremonial occasions, like the Royal Wedding. I even remember watching Mountatten's funeral as a kid. I wasn't a huge fan but I admired her for what she did for the Falklands and her free market ideology so figured I'd give it a watch.
However seeing the rogues gallery of politicians I used to hate in the crowd of mourners started to take the shine off the event and once that hot American chick stopped talking I switched channels to watch some comedy.

I watched it ( Yes OK I am a little bored at the mo). First thing that struck me was how detached her family seemed. Not one of them shed a tear.
Thatchers coffin sitting there alone and distant among rows and rows of people, looked so lonely
.
Nobody made a gesture of any sort that was warm or kind. I know there is a private part too, and Carol did appear upset there, but OMG they looked like they couldnt care less. Very detached and cold.
Did anyone notice the horses pulling the gun carriage and body seemed highly agitated, unusual for military horses, back in London last year i saw a funeral procession with 4 black horses and they were calm almost serene, those horses yesterday were agitated as hell.
And the wife of the son, fluffing her hair and preening
not the time dear, yep your not bad looking for knocking 50 but dont preen and pose at a funeral, its very rude.
I wont comment on the politics, she is dead not alive.
However I did google the family. Mark Thatcher, ummm
bit like prince andrew isnt he, IMO privileged but dodgy.
Wasnt impressed the 'Baronet' thatcher title for dennis and mark was created
, and is now hereditary. Thats bollocks.

The ones that I was working with told me how much the airborne bombings in Cuito Cuanavale at the end of 1983 damaged their capabilities. I didn't have the heart to tell them I helped insert the fuses into and load the bombs. Ironically, the aircraft were Canberras and Buccaneers.

The Argentines haven't upgraded much (if any) of their military hardware since the '80s. I would doubt their ability to invade and hold the islands again for a while.

As SA national servicemen, I bombed the Angolan troops and Zulu shot them.
