However if 'you' only feel able to go out in public in full slap then who am I to say it's wrong.

Crap skin with foundation trowelled on looks appalling to me, it seems to draw attention to the spots/scars/etc. I used to work with a girl of 22 who got up really early to trowel the stuff on. She admitted she had never been seen by anyone without full slap since she was 14. If she's sleeping with a boyfriend, she would wait until he was asleep before cleaning her face but get up well before he did to put it on again so he'd wake up and see her 'perfect'. Even on the beach she have the full works. I think she needed (needs) help because that is not normal.
Exactly what I do, and with a bit of lip gloss. During the week I hardly bother, it's usually at the weekends when hubby is home that I want to feel different.

I hate the feeling of a 'full face of slap'.

I might go into the beauty section of Myers or somewhere and see what the girls recommend, I dont want to wear full make up, I hate it but I am sure I can get something that will make me look better and hopefully they may be able to teach me how to apply it as I have never been into make up.

I had my eyelashes and brows tinted once - that looked pretty good actually, so might be an option. It didnt last long in the summer but I was thinking of having a facial next week to brighten my skin up so perhaps I shall get that done as well.

Thanks Hebe, I shall check out that stuff.
I have just started wearing Napolean Perdis. Its really nice. The foundation works out at $67.David Jones have a special on at the moment, with a free gift. The girl at Karrinyup that did my make up was lovely and not at all pushy. For the first time ever I have used concealer and it makes a difference.

In UK never wore make up. In OZ you need to apply sunblock at least twice a day so you already have that face full of slap feel. Gets even worse in summer when its boiling or humid and the last thing you want is a face covered in grease.

Anyway as I have to bother with that I now do mascara and lips too - makes it more enjoyable than a chore. I go for really really bright lips, red, orange or pink it makes the green eyes "pop' as they say. I always get a laugh if I do the red lips, you can guarantee men will stare

My list is:

Mascara
Eyeliner
Perhaps some emergency tinted moisturiser for the days my skin is shit
Something to cover the dark circles under my eyes.

I shall see what the experts say in the stores, but if you see someone looking like a panda in Perth, that will be me experimenting with my own make up.

Find a concealer that matches your skin tone I got one for about $10 and the amount of flaws it covers is amazing, pity they dont sell it in body size tubs

Not really true- I've seen old ladies who look as though they have already been embalmed.

You need to change your makeup as you age. What looks good at 20 is not so good at 40 and horrendous at 60. I'd never dream of heavy eyeliner these days, or coloured mascara. (I was twenty in the 80's- new Romantic and Adam and the Ants looks.)

By all accounts you lift heavy weights every day ... I take your point about individual health, I hope you feel better soon

My weights have gone, seriously I cannot believe I have gone from a DD cup to a C cup - at a strain, Mr PP is mortified.

I need new bras and quickly.

This IS serious ... I guess the advantage for blokes losing weight is that their prominent assets become more prominent ...
