You really need to start believing I do eat healthily sometimes at least :lol: Fridge full of peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions etc at the moment - but no lettuce! Just doesn't taste exciting enough :rolleyes:

blimey, capsicums are 89p+ each in tescos, pumpkins aobut £1/kg and red cabbage is about 99p/kg (in our local grocers)!!

... even seasonal home grown fruit n veg is getting very expensive - raspberries seem extortionate this year ... despite a good local crop.

I can't wait to get to Queen Vic Markets, but in the meanwhile, I have lettuce of some description in my garden.

I have no idea of the variety, but it's quite green, leafy with pronounced veins. Very upright & I think it will be quite crunchy when we pick it...anyone care to suggest it's variety, I bought it in B&Q garden centre & the label had fallen off....???
