I live in the West of Scotland. If I stopped buying a drink for everybody I suspected of being an alcoholic I'd never enter a bar again

Why are the Irish so much more generous at buying drinks than the Scottish when they have so many other thigs in common(i general of course, I'm sure there are a couple of exceptions
) ??

Is it that the Irish guys you pick up in the bars always stand their round whereas the Scottish guys (you pick up) don't

I have noticed the Scots usually seem to know exactly how much they have. and can spend, whereas the Irish just keep dipping in their pockets until they run out of dosh
