A-league final

Just had a further thought on all of this, whilst hanging out the washing.
I'm taking my boy to his regular football training session here at Moreland tonight. He will be trained at this Scottish heritage club, by his Irish coach, in one of the under elevens teams. Where the other teams at the club are trained by other coaches from Europe and the UK and even Aus. The boys are all from different backgrounds. Quite a few have both parents born overseas, a minority have Aussies as both parents. The team competes in the very ethnically diverse Northern Subs of Melbourne, where I bet the same situation arises at all the other clubs.
Now where would we be, if those boys didn't grow up being fair dinkum Aussies.

1-0 to the mighty Kuwait...

Watched few minutes before half time but damn! missed the goal...The Aussies had a glorious chance to score, and had two stabs at that chance with the ever fumbling Kuwaiti keeper well beaten and haplessly trying to kill local flies with his hands...First stab hit a player , the second the post...
Roll on Papa New Guinea!!

They were poor. Totally devoid of ideas and didnt really look like they knew what they were supposed to be doing.
It must be hard being in a 'B' team like that.
It worries me when i see Graham Arnold directing operations on the side line.
In their defence, however this is the second time they have played together and i think that if they are going to turn into a cohesive unit Pim should get the FFA to cancel the A Leaguie for a week or so and have them all in a camp where he can teach them 'his way' intensively...
Might help. Bit embarrassing really... Esp with the agenda driven media ready to pounce...

Looks like the experiment with the A league based or Aussie C team for the Asian cup will have to stop.
Pim surely should be able to get enough of a 2nd team from Europe.
At least Aus has room to manoeuver these days, unlike the old Oceania groupings.
As for the WC, apart from South Africa, Aus could be one of the first teams to Qualify. Only 1.5 games or 4 points away.
