I wasn't aware of the abortion laws in QLD, but hardly surprising as everything else seems to be 20 years behind
I don't agree with abortion and I certainly don't agree with a lot of those comments made in the article, but that is an entirely different thread altogether.
I wouldn't want to see the abortion laws changed here, I think they are perfectly fine the way they are.

Women in QLD can get an abortion, they need a consultation with 2 Doctors first and its usually granted, basically on emotional health reasons. Private clinics in Brisbane, 2 at least I can think of, medicare might not pay for it, but its there. Quite amazing the media are making people think its not done in QLD.

I believe that has only happened in the last 12 months though (emotional reasons). Before that specialists were turning patients to NSW for fear of prosecution.

Private clinics which perform this operation are definately in Brisbane. They have been operating for years, I know this through a previous job.
I just googled the name of one of the Clinics and it came up on the net
, along with several others in various regions of QLD. The one I am thinking of has been in QLD decades to my knowledge but as I say 2 Doctors had to assess the patient, however that was all done just prior to the OP. However medical liability may have changed all that - but those private clinics seem up and running still, public hosptials might be different.

At the risk of weakening my own argument - I found this very funny. Nice to have the chaser back for a short period ...

Did you know that Obama's REAL first name is Brian? Doesn't quite have the same ring does it?

Perhaps the pythons were prescient in their choice of the holy messiah's first name. Since brian is indeed the leader of the free world.
