Had to ring the EA today, i'm going to take all these calls i make to them off my final bill!!! 
A bit of good news but not getting to excited just yet - they are looking at another house on Friday but really likes ours so Thursday night i'm going round to throw paint on the windows!!
(Joke honest!) So fingers crossed we'll hear somthing on Saturday if not its back to the waiting game we are all playing.

We were going to do the same if the visa hadn't come through as my husband's contract ends at the end of July, but the house hasn't sold... That's why I'd looked into it. Even now we might go in September as there is no point my OH sitting over here without a job.

Feeling pants today but had a phone call from my friend who moved out to Melbourne In January and is absolutlely loving it. The whole family have settled in really well at jobs and school and they have booked a camping trip over Christmas It's going to be very strange getting my head round the seasons being opposite. The good thing is though, that all three of my boys were born in the winter here so out there we'll be able to have a birthday party in the garden for once!! Bring it on

LOL, mine won't go to bed and when she's in bed she won't stay in bed and then she won't get up in the morning.:curse: She also rolls her eyes and tells me not to embarrass her!
That's the same for my youngest, can't wait to celebrate it in the sun
All our birthdays are between December and January - so we have lovely summer holiday birthdays to look forward to.

Don't know if we should take it or not if the market is going to get worse.... or maybe it will pick up and we will kick ourselves... anyone got a crystal ball???
Really feel for you Nicola, hell of a decision...............you've already reduced so much. Still think they're taking the p*ss, wish i had a cyrstal ball for you. What about the corporate let option?

don't know if that would work but isn't it an estate agents job to get the best price for your house if the EA doesn't do the job and you get some one new don't tell them you are leaving the country

I think they are chancing their arm , lie tell them some one knocked on your door and offered more don't know if that would work but isn't it an estate agents job to get the best price for your house

Funny it is £160K less than their valuation of 6 weeks ago! Just scared the market will go tits up and we will be trapped here. Our visa is not like yours - we have to be there in the next 8 months.

Don't know what to do really. We have 2 more viewings this week - so are waiting for those to happen. EA reckons it is a good offer!! Funny it is £160K less than their valuation of 6 weeks ago! Just scared the market will go tits up and we will be trapped here. Our visa is not like yours - we have to be there in the next 8 months.

I'd wait for the other 2 viewings, don't forget, a few weeks ago you weren't getting any viewers, now that you've reduced and said offers over, you're getting more, you may just get someone decent who won't take the p*ss. Maybe if you get nowhere with the 2 viewers this week, you could go back to the EA and tell them you'll accept if they increase by another 20K - see if you can haggle......................
