Got relies in Colwell Bay and my cousins are both firefighters at Carisbrooke.
My nan and grandad lived in Newbridge.
My uncle lives in Ryde.
I spent many happy years there. I have many happy memories.
Sadly my nan and grandad are no longer living.
And it's an awfully far away place to visit from here.
Sorry can't help - was just remembering

If any of the others are over here on holiday, visiting relies etc then give us a shout, 3 more bottles of Archers, the rest of your bottle of Bicardi as well as whatever else is in there. There is the pear snaps and the apple one as well. I had better stock up on the mixers. I'll give you a ring about your birthday meal.

Oh isle. When we were told it would be a rollercoaster we didnt envisage just how much it would be! We are exhasted and just want to get there! Dunno if you know anyone in Cowes and can get a copy, but it was me who wrote the Cowes Advertiser thing about 'why we are going'.
Thought it would be edited, but they published in full and the feedback has been 100% agreement and folk saying it is island wide. gosh!
Good luck! We are off to Canberra.

Ok, 'island wide' was a slight exaggeration. Cowes Ad only does Cowes
Feedback they have had has been along the lines that it is a general UK problem rather then just 'in our area'.
Where is (generally! not exactly!) your caravan?

Our caravan is in sandown - generally
.
So, is it a social problem you are talking about - that is generally a UK problem and not in a particular area (this is beginning to sound like talking in code )?
Sorry, I'm totally ignorant of what is going on and mum hasn't said anything when I talk to her, but then, she doesn't get around that much.

We are (were, house sold!!!) woken at 1-2am almost every night with drunken teens. Vandalism to cars, telephone-box, anything, is rife. Police dont really want to know as they have to tread so carefully with teens that it is more problem than it's worth (to them!!). etc etc etc!
Only a couple of weeks ago we were woken at 6.30am with drunken joyriders righting off some car they had nicked. And this is Cowes!!!!!
We can go on about society, parents, school etc but we have just given up; a major reason for emigration. The UK is in serious trouble and no-one seems to have noticed or care... (starting to drift into rant mode here!
