Re: Incest in quiet NSW country town
How can I explain this....
In Islamic countries drinking alcohol is considered immoral (as well as being illegal).... If you were found drunk with a companion of some one of the opposite sex not related to yourself (bugger...that doesn't help does it) in the sidney city centre you would be considered to have no morals...
Where as you could possibly have a very strong knowledge of right from wrong in "other areas"... Maybe you don't shag sheep, because it's wrong and feel very strongly about THAT.... Maybe you don't kill MILs and dispose of their bodies in the bush because your moral compass indicates it is wrong... Perhaps..just maybe you think quite badly of people who rob banks...because your moral compass tells you it is wrong...
However, you imbibe in alcohol,
These kids may have VERY strong values ... And internal moral compass...they just haven't been exposed to society where sex with your sibling is wrong...

It does not make it right & the genetic defects show why this is not acceptable within our societies. It remains very sad for all the extended family concerned.

For those who don't know the meaning of moral compass:
Moral compass: "a natural feeling that makes people know what is right and wrong and how they should behave"
Example usage: "Some people believe that the increase in crime shows that society is losing its moral compass".

I thought the royal families practiced the same thing.

Reminds me of an article that was in a SA magazine (Scope) several years ago where the population of a small Karoo town going back 200 years or so comprised just two or three families . Everyone looked very similar.

The privilege more than makes up for the defects...
still bloodclotting diseases aside (in the case of the Russians)...I think some of the Royals do not do too badly. Some of their constituents are far uglier.
Where is the line between being 'well bred'..(silly word) and 'in bred'.
