Paying the $ forward makes sense, spread it when you’ve got it is our philosophy. I also like to support my favourite YouTubers, watch way more of that than TV these days.
The handyman with a van idea sounds good, lots of variety in your day rather and doing what you love has a lot to recommend it. I've never built (or erected!) anything but I can imagine that it'd be immensely satisfying. From the consumer side, a reliable handyman is a wonderful thing.

Being able to give is both a privilege and a pleasure So much better than being on the other end which some people understandably find really hard. Like the bloke in an evacuation centre in Vic, he was there with his wife and 3 young kids and had been burned out, they'd lost everything they owned. A vollie gave him a $300 Woolies voucher and he said he couldn't accept it because there were people far worse off than him. When the vollie pressed him he did eventually accept the voucher but he was in tears. Talk about break your heart.

I’m a bit late to the party but I had a very boring start to the new year. Around mid December I was in an ice hockey tournament and broke both Tibia and Fibia and am now sporting a nice titanium rod in my leg. That’ll serve me right for trying to get back into shape!

The first week was pretty rough but by New Year’s Eve I was getting pretty bored of all the laying around. I’ll be off work for three months while recovering and I will be absolutely bored out of my mind. Looking on the bright side though while school is on (I’m a teacher), I don’t have a lot of time for reading so I’m looking forward to catching up on the stacks of books I haven’t gotten around to.

I will try to enjoy the three months off as best I can and hopefully come up with loads of things I can do to fill my time whilst keeping my leg elevated as much as possible!
