Thanks guys, well I might try to grow them not sure if they grow in cairns but will try!!!! and I will need to know which type to go for would not want to look ignorant!!!!

just pop into your local garden centre or bunnings, both have racks of seeds with wee maps of aus on the back showing what will grow where and when to sow

its quite amazing how fast stuff grows out here
