I've seen some for just under $5 !!
Don't stress it, I was chatting to a bloke about this (don't ask! LOL!) whilst on the gold coast and he told me that apparently there was a lot of failed crops and the quality of cucumbers were expensive and poor.. thus creating a need and the price going up...
This blooming global ecomony is mirroring the cucumber scenerio!

PS Havent had a problem buying cucumbers, but the last few have seemed to go off quite quickly so who knows? there might be something in the rumours!

Depends on how many in your family. We're a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and our weekly shop in Perth's northern suburbs is about $250 on average. Last week we spent about $350, but we went a little overboard at the produce market.
