I went into the one in Hervey Bay... it was nearly as large as Big W... and just lined with bottle after bottle...
I went to Frazer Island the next day with a VERY sore head! Not a good plan when 4X4 adventure driving!

Great, isn't it? I particularly like the drive-thru bottle shops here.

$1.88 on special in Safeway have a look at http://www.woolworths.com.au/weeklyspecials/result/ http://www.coles.com.au/ these are our two biggest supermarket chains.
Fruit and Veg is much cheaper in the markets and the large veg shops. Half the price.

That would be a larger lebanese cucumber that is $3.00 which is not your small type cucumbers.
It might be $3.00 today and $1.00 next week. As most fruit and veg in Australia is not imported but grown here it fluctuates a lot depending on weather conditions, drought, flood, crops success etc. If there is a major storm, cyclone or frost it will effect prices for a while. There are a few types of fruit and veg that are imported such as garlic but most are not. Also if a fruit or veg is in season it will be cheaper than out of season. Strawberries are fairly cheap now at about $2.00 a punnet in the midst of winter they were around $4.
I would suggest that you don't buy from the supermarket but from a good greengrocer or market or farmers market.
