How has your day been?

Nott slept much today. Have my grandson staying over til Saturday which is going to make another night shift tonight interesting. And just as we were having a nanna nap together, there was a delivery guy knocking the door.
To add to all of the fun - he was recently exposed to chickenpox - something nanny or the young spark have not had. Oh well - I needed a break from work

Interesting day. Mrs TB and I have had a lovely couple of days at a luxury hotel and spa in Christchurch, Dorset (special offer
), and this morning just before checking out I had to dial into a meeting at work that confirmed I shall be made redundant (on a voluntary basis which yields a better package :thumb up: )
It came down to a choice of myself and the colleague that has covered my role for 15mths whilst I had my spine re scaffolded. She doesn't want to stay but can't afford to leave. I was not that bothered ether way, in fact the morale is so low and stress so high at work that it almost feels like I had the best option
We'll give it another 3-4mths, see what offers come my way and if nothing suits, then we'll probably head back to Oz.
Hotel was nice

It sounds odd, but if it gets you a nice package then
That's how we got to Australia!

I woke up to discover the foster dog has chewed his paws as they have become sore from the constant playing/sparring with my dog. So he was brought in under protest, had his feet washed, given antihistamines and banished to the laundry room whilst howling quite loudly at being split up from my dog - who is glued to the back door in protest.
Good job we dont have neighbours at the moment, anyway I left him with a big hide chew which he was happily chewing (better than him chewing his paws) and I shall go home and check on him at lunchtime - thank god I work 6 mins car drive from my house.
I am also picking up a second hand dog kennel I found on gumtree which is at a really good price.
Then it is 'injection' time, and I shall pretend Eddie is sitting next to me like she was last week telling me to 'just stick it in'
That will do it, only there wont be any of her homemade Christmas cake to sweeten the actions afterwards.

If you need a cheer leader this week I have a small piece of Christmas cake left... And I could bring the ute to collect the aviary..... Pom poms are at the ready and HE is trying on a sparkly red leotard as we speak.... Should be free by the time you have finished work....
I havent cleaned the aviary yet though

Do the Yellow ones work better than the Blue ones ?

Blue? Yellow? Go green - have one of each
