How has your day been?

Re: How has your day been?
Spent this morning taking the decs down, then this afternoon, putting the house back into some semblance of normality. This included sorting the kids toys out. L has inherited her grandparent's ability to hoard for England, and considering we only got our stuff in November, we managed to fill 3 binbags with her 'stuff'
Bedrooms, lounge and playroom look nice and neat now. Am taking bets as to how long that lasts

EDIT: I reckon your house is a magic house anyway, and has secret rooms inside for those that need them

We looked at a semi rural property last year, just before Ian got bitten by the tiger snake... Strangely enough we stopped looking after that....
Went to see it... Fabulous... Perfect... Love it.... THEN we were told the price... And it was No WAY!!! stoopid money, they are having a bubble....
Anyway it went to another agent, then another and has finally come back to the original agent.... At a more realistic asking price... She phoned week before last and asked if we would be interested at the much reduced price... We said.. Dunno... Depends on selling ours... And it isn't on the market... She is popping round tomorrow to assess ours.... With a view to putting it on the market....
TBH... The property IS gorgeous.. Acreage, a massive stone work one roomed school house that has power and water etc connected ... That would make a to die for studio for quilting, or indoor cricket pitch..which ever.....as well as independent living for the grey nomads and a 5x2 for us...
Would be foolish NOT to run it up the flag post and see who salutes it...
HOWEVER at the end of the day... We have kids settled in school/jobs/relationships/beach and city lifestyle... And two elderly grey nomads who WILL need nearby facilities.... And it's Not just about us... (me and HIM).....
Who knows eh? Doesn't hurt to review the current situation....

Have to get this place appraised first... Haven't mentioned it to anyone yet, no point in unsettling anyone at the moment... If the numbers don't stack up it's not happening full stop....
Tomorrow's assessment is "for insurance" purposes ...
And It doesn't feel like "meant to be" there are many issues to be considered before anything else happens...
Like the fact I vowed I would never ever move again.... And as I said... It's not just the two of us we have to consider

My day was fine until I realised that there are apparently a lot of sad people in this world who get pleasure from kicking people who are already having problems.

We walked to the tennis in Brisbane (it's not that far from our house, although in 35 degrees is was a hot walk!).
I met Jen1997ni, which was very nice, but she was much more excited to meet Rory McIlroy
So so nice to have a day off work!

You know, I wasn't thinking of Him when I wrote that, but your answer is sooooo good I shall try it next time I see him
