Oh I don't think it's over yet.... but we'll see. At least the registrar at the Fracture Clinic can give me the low down on it.

Happy to report that this morning, I attended the local fracture clinic.

Woman on desk recognised me and made lots of comments how I was 'the one' (Yes and you thought Neo was 'The One', but actually it's me. Got to get some groovy specs and a black leather coat now) from Port Macquarie and that I had never been treated in Nepean...
So I said that I'd been in ED... to which she said 'That doesn't count'.

'Isn't it a good job that this isn't a game then?' I replied sweetly.

Lovely registrar called me through, said he was very pleased with my progress, the healing is good, and he's given me a specialist appt for a couple of weeks.
He laughed when he heard I'd been told to go back to PM and said that would be ridiculous.

So plaster off, moon boot thing on and all is good.

Well done TP!

Though I do worry when you start to discuss moon things...

Thanks. What a worry though for those folk who are not as persistently annoying as I am.

That was one of the best threads! Up there with "My house is on fire - what should I do?"

Yes we should - Autumn would be lovely, especially when the leaves turn. Got to go back to the UK next week as my dad is having a heart valve replace - fingers crossed it will be ok. But when I'm back, I will be free to sort something out!

Blimey, that's a bit serious! I hope it goes really smoothly for him.

Say hi to them for us.

TP (you're still iP to me!)! I'm so sorry to read this thread - how horrendous.

I'd be complaining to all and sundry, and also seeking administration charges to cover the cost of your time. Not sure who exactly I'd chase - probably seek 100 bucks from each department/organization except the GP and the fracture clinic.

Thanks guys.

Ozzi, you know, I've sent emails to people, I've argued with people... and I'm just tired right out. I'm happy that I've finally been treated and am back on the public system. I'm already persuing a claim with the original place I broke my leg at, so that's enough for me.
This entire thing was caused by the administrative staff at Nepean and it's pretty amazing that these people are meant to be there to help you but just want to argue their case about how you're bucking the 'system'.

Well this time I won so I'm happy. : )
