We had these things in Africa, they were huge and sometimes come out in their hundreds. If you were driving they used to make the most horrible popping noise if they got run over, but so many on the road it couldn't be helped. I think these were also venemous.

Has anyone read the two page article in todays courier mail on cane toads....Makes interesting reading and makes all your arguments that they are the doomsday creature seem a bit silly.

I wouldn't like to have to do anything with the things myself....I would prob end up catching it and letting it go somewhere far away LOL

Putting them in fridge, then freezer is what the Agriculture people tell you to do...

She might not have too a big a problem with you, but I might. Tia was right in that Annqld was agreeing they were pests and should be destroyed, she was just advocating humanely - you picked the wrong quote to vent on, clown. Pay more attention in future when you're spouting.

oh god it's quite ironic really didn't you know Oz was the home of the MOST poisonous snakes spiders jellyfish etc  ...so why be surprised about the toad...heck don't they have platypus down there?? those buggers are poisonous too...heck what about the great white sharks that patrol some of the waters? and all were there before you so stop being so damn mean...so they are a pest...still no need to be brutal when getting rid of them...if you want to live in a moderately pest free world shouldn't you return to the U.K? ;) :)

232Bar quite rightly stated I advocated destruction or sending to George Bush. I did previously state I thought the golf club a bit OTT and freezing could lead to mix up with the meat or veg at meal times.

The point about cane toads is that they were bought in and are now killing all the native aus animals be they snakes, whatever. I don't think Biggy has a problem with any "home grown" beasties, just the ones brought in from outside that are particularly nasty.

PS. Thanks for the karma. :) Tree frogs are very very cute. Wonder if you can keep them as pets  :D

So it is ok by your rationale for the home grown "Beasties" to kill and eat each other just don't let the imported ones do any killing.
I hope all of you that advocate the killing of cane toads with golf clubs would not mind if I smashed your cat or dogs head in with the same device as these animals are responsible for many many deaths of native and non native animals.
Ironic really!
Looking down from space an alien would judge man to be the worst of the lot BTW as we are just another animal, just a step up in the brains department....Well, some of us.
