Had both including the Chopper with 'racing bike' forks and a Grifter seat ...

Cruel I know, but when BMX's came out we used to sing this song to my mate who couldn't afford one.

BMX boys have a lot of fun, Nicky's got a Grifter and it weighs a ton!

Anyway,

Wasn't a Grifter just a Chopper frame upside down!

I was too short to have a Grifter so I had to make do with it's small brother the Striker.

The Supergoose was my best I think, altho the Diamond Back was good.

Cannondale grey mountain bike with pink wheels, altho that came quite a bit later.

Only one winner here. The one you could actually do a wheelie on without pulling your arms out of your shoulder socket. Go the Chopper

I had one of those too. I think it was the first brand new bike I'd ever had and it was a beaut! I remember getting it for Christmas and just spending all day sliding around in the snow on it. Happy days!

I had a chopper, brothers had a BMX and Racer - all second hand mind!

Me and my friend used to ride around on the chopper - she'd sit on the back and pedal - i'd sit on the front with legs up and steer - oh happy days, well that was until we got stopped by the police and told to stop
