Boxers were great, mine was blue!! I was a bit too young for the choppers (being born mid 70's) and I went from the Boxer to a BMX (a Muddy Fox - awesome!!) and then onto a Huffy Mountain Bike my dad imported from the states.
I've just bought our oldest his first .... a buzz lightyear bike with soundeffects and stabilizers

Chopper for me...gawd it was a pain keep unscrewing that gear knob stop anybody stealing it...oh and playing cards put on the forks with a clothes peg,excellent sound,I'm going to show my lad how to do that later...bound to be better than a PS3...

I did get a chopper though when I was a bit older, best bike ever.
They make a new version now, looks crap..

If after 4 months anyones still interested, I had the tomahawk (little chopper) but then went on to a Bomber, possibly the first mountain bike?
