If that's what you call it.

You can be right if you want. Makes no odds to me.

I am not getting like anything. As I have said before, I see little point debating serious issues with strangers on a British Expats website.

Especially with someone who's view are very different to mine.

P.s. Greenpeace rocks.

wasnt it an English Greenpeace member who painted some red slogan on the roof of the Opera House a couple of years ago, then demanded that his visa be continued....

What happened to him?

Edit: "Two antiwar protesters who wrote “No War” in red paint across the highest point of the Sydney Opera House on March 18 this year, three days before the US-led invasion of Iraq, have been found guilty on charges of malicious damage. The two men—David Burgess, an environmentalist, and Dr Will Saunders, a British research scientist—face heavy fines and a five-year jail term".

I don't think he was a member a Greenpeace. Maybe it was a lie spread to discredit Greenpeace, you know, a bit like Bjorn Lomborg.

He is still here, so we must have allowed him to stay. Australia is too generous when it lets fanatics and nutters in.

Mr David Burgess was the Greenpeace member, he is a film-maker and environmentalist; he has been active in anti-logging protests, facing bulldozers in several New South Wales forests and in Papua New Guinea.

Funny though, they get the right to protest their opinion of the actions of world leaders and everyone defends their right to free speech, even when it means defacing the Opera House.

Do Anti AGW speakers get the same latitude?

They probably allowed Burgess to stay due to the fact that he is an Australian! So much for your "robust debate".

Also I can't find any evidence that he was a member of Greenpeace? Are you certain?

I think the Liberal Party's anti climate change is getting plenty of latitude at the moment.

I cant be bothered to check up on Burgess, but IMMSMC he was/is. Mind you Greenpeace, unlike the Freemasons, aren’t forced to publish a list of members, so proving is hard anyway.

Burgess is Australian, it was Saunders I was referring to when I mentioned nutters and fanatics.

The Libs are a bunch of weaklings. No good will come of putting a wimp like Abbot in charge. I had a bitter email argument with him about RU486 a couple of years ago. If you think I was tough on you, you should read what I said to him.

The Libs should force Kev07 to a DD on ETS, then rip the bloody thing apart piece by piece. People don’t like paying more taxes, and even now about 50% think AGW isn’t proved. That’s without a good campaign. That’s exactly why Kev07 is avoiding calling a DD right now.

Haha.

Your robust debate has more holes than a battleship. It's just mainly assumptions.
