Do I think that he should govern his country? No, of course not. Like Farage in the UK, he is a one trick pony and they are never good at running a nation. But he is going to drag Holland from the left to the right and to me that is a very good thing. He is going to prevent his country sleep-walking into a very bleak future.

I just watched the interview myself, I wondered what all the fuss was about.
You could substitute the word Islam in all that Wilders says for Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism maybe even Sikhism. All have fanatics yet we don't worry about them in the same way. Why?
Take a look at the troubles in many parts of the world. Ireland, for example, Catholics fighting Protestants Christian fighting Christian.
How about trouble in the Punjab Jat Sikh fighting Dalit Sikh.
Iraq: Kurd, Shiite, and Sunni Muslims all fighting each other.
Every religion appears to have it's own extremists prepared to kill in the name of their chosen faith.
Will the more moderate within these faiths rise up & denounce the violent minority? We can but hope

I think anyone who doesn't take Geert seriously is obviously completely unaware of what goes on in the world. But that applies to the majority of the population who only really care about what team is playing tonight, how much more entitlements they can scrounge and where best to fish.

It's perfectly possible to espouse political policies which state that religious extremists are a danger to society, and that those extremists, and the religion they use, should not be allowed to be an excuse for any actions or inactions - nor be given any legal standing.
