Through work i have met a Lachlan Mclaughlin, a very bright & bubbly girl who came in & announced "hi i'm Brandy" in a beautiful american sing song voice (where is the vomit smiley?) & a Tom Artoe
one of my best friends always wanted a little girl called India........but she married Mr Currie.
i could also write down half the names out of my daughters school phone book- there are some pretty ridiculous ones there.
the head teacher from my daughters old school got married in the half term & said she was coming back as Mrs Tickell which i really thought should have been pronounced as Tickle. that would have been a lot more fun for the little kids

My sister worked for a real estate office and was amused to get a call from a Mr House, funny enough given her occupation but she asked for his first name - Maxwell!
I used to live in Florida where we had a lot of Haitian people so many of our clients had very unusual names - my favourite was a gentleman called Charitable Surprise. Another yank trait was to put a "La" in front of regular names ie Latonya, LaSharon etc plus wierd and unecessary hyphens and commas in names. It was hard to tell sometimes what were the first names and surnames!
I did share an office once with a Richard Bird - he never did see the joke.
We have a file for the Wanke family and another client and his wife's name is E.Colli

. If your name is Richard Holder,DONT shorten it to Dick Holder. And if your name is William Stroker, you've got so many options, Bill Stroker, Will Stroker, but NOT Willie Stroker.Obviously these guys don't have the childish minds we have.

Our kids dentist is called Mr. Payne !! really !! he's been my wife's dentist since she was a kid.
Our daughter is called India (she doesn't like it at the moment but we've told her she'll love it later in life)
There's a kid in one of our kid's class called Talula (sp?)
I've heard that aussie is terrible for kids names but as ours are Zak, India and Jedd I suppose we can't talk!
Andy.

Oh, and when I was growing up, there was an urban myth about a Mr Gotobed who lived in a village called Little Snoring.
I seem to remember looking it up in the phonebook and he was listed!
