Fish and Chips Bayside Brisbane
#46
We gave in and had the chips from here last saturday (with curry sauce ;-) ) it is totally like UK chips and the curry sauce was exactly the same
The smell walking into the place was just like a UK chip shop (the queue wasnt!)
Its lovely to have UK chips - aussie fish +chips are great too but this was real comfort food :-) artery clogging comfort food..... fantastic stuff. It wasnt 'that' expensive compared to the other fish+chip shops but hey who cares - its not to be compared its offering a different product. hopefully it'll stay busy and make the guys wealthy.

I have to say that I prefer the fish and chips here.. all cooked to order.. back in Blighty they would be sitting around for yonks and were a bit crap..
You would get the odd shop which was lovely, but on the whole Oz does the fish n chips thing much better I reckon...
Disclaimer: apart from the place here in Peregian.. some div has decided thin McDonald style chips are OK to serve on a Friday evening when the blow-throughs are in town
Can thoroughly recommend the ones a Noosaville harbour where you catch the Ferry... the fish is consistantly excellent also
