they say its just /. (which is added automatically when you upload) so I've left it blank - if I put public_html it fails and if I add /. it just creates /./.

Have you got cpanel access on one and ones server ( as i recall it was a bloody nightmare )

That image didnt mean anything to me, your not uploading to ftp directory arya?

have they paid their dues? cos that seems like a parking page to me.

can you create a new folder called, test.

Then upload anypage to that folder. Then view it.

ie. creative-clothing.co.uk/test/nepage.htm

You're right - its a nightmare - they have their own little thing going on with 'webfiles' and shit like that - cant really do anything with it.

I can give you the log ins if you fancy checking it out for me - I trust ya :)

I'd owe you a BIG one then! lol

Im baffled !!!

It appears \ has been set to 0. Cannot chmod any root directory.

What a bloody nightmare their control panel is !!!!

I would email 1and1 ! .

Regarding transferring the domain, i think i found when i lodged a domain with them, they said they OWNED it. !!
So wouldnt transfer the domains !! Barstuds !!

Get your mate or you go onto www.godaddy.com and set up a free acct, then apply to transfer the domain !

If there is nothing of worth on the server, perhaps start all over again.

You could email, Datamile. He is a whizz and so is Merlin.

Sure they would help, they are both top guys !

Oh and I just found out something about alt and title tags for images. I knew that the alt tags for images didn't show on hover on Mozilla but it did in IE - well.......when you add a title tag too it works in Mozilla :)

So......alt tags for IE and title tags for Mozilla - strange.......but true :) (you prob already knew that though!! :rofl:)
