There is but I can't for the life of me remember when I got it, whether it was here or before we moved over.

Damn this thread.:curse::curse:
I keep seeing the heading and forgetting what it is about, and then opening it and realising I have nothing to contribute. |

Oh I love it.:D
So much, in fact, that I've gone and double-posted. Or maybe that was because of our bushfire/thunderstorm situation we currently have, combined with our FANTASTICALLY slow internet service. |

If not about cheese or pickle, you could take the thread off-topic & tell us about your storm/bushfire situation!:unsure: |

Re: Does anyone else find . . .
Why bother with the bread? Nice bit of cheese, as much Branston as you can pack on without the cheese breaking and job done. It's like a little piece of heaven in your hand. The only annoyance is that they only seem to sell the small jars here, which I could easily do in 2 good sessions :o

Re: Does anyone else find . . .
Just returned from deepest, darkest Woolworths to report that I have discovered the source of the Branston Pickle (BP).
I searched the Woolies web site prior and found no mention of BP. Reminded by this thread, I picked up a bottle of 333 Mustard Pickles, 520g for $1.63 (on special). Sugar 16.1%. Dated "Best Before 16/11/11 10:20". What I thought to be a dilligent search of the shelves still did not reveal the exaulted BP. As it happened, an older shop assistant passed by and on an impulse, I asked if there were any BP in store. "Certainly, Sir" and after a few moments he reached deeply into the back of a shelf at knee level and pulled out a 310g bottle of Crosse & Blackwell Branston Pickle; a product of Premier Ambient Products (UK) Ltd, Bridge Road, Long Sutton, Spalding, Lincs, PE12-9EQ, England. Imported by Nestle Australia Ltd, enquiries 1800-025-361. Price $4.22. Sugar 32.5%. Dated "SEP 2011 L9257H 12:10". On arriving home I opened and sampled the Branston Pickles. Not impressed, waste of four bucks. Tastes like sweetened weak cider vinegar with some crunchy bits. It that the proper taste or does it not travel? |
Re: Does anyone else find . . .

Re: Does anyone else find . . .
Not either :) Horrendous stomach bug - I put a duvet on the floor of the bathroom - Andrew was working away for a change. I had one baby in the shower and one in the other corner and got lots of saucepans and water and dettol and lay in there for nearly 24 hours with us all being sick. Horrible. In the end I called a Dr and they went and got lots of rehydration stuff for me and offered to take us into hospital but by then it was on the way out.
although until last week I have been pregnant or breast feeding since March 2004! Thats nuts isnt it. |
