Well did it ?
If so why or why not ? This makes things interesting and certainly gives the EU and Merks something to think about. |

We have two leadership contests to look forward to.
This seems like the sort of contest better resolved by making people walk barefoot over broken glass or ride a very angry bull. |

100% the right decision. The crisis in Europe is a clear sign that it was fragile and broken.
I hope we drag out the Art. 50 for as long as possible. |

It was the right thing to do but the UK still needs to suffer the EU for longer than strictly necessary? We British enjoy suffering but even we have our limits .
The EU is on the one suffering right now. Look at that internal mess they have on their hands. |

Nope, they should have stayed, but not for the obvious reason.
I think they have played right into the hands of Brussels. I think the eurocrats want a united states of europe and thus wanted rid of the one thing they think will stop them - the UK. The lack of real negotiation, the swift "s*d off then" - it all smells of a plan that the UK walked right into. As such I expect two developments in the foreseeable. First, they will do something to get right up the nose of any Brit - and push them into pushing the Article 50 button soon. And then they will screw the UK by basically negotiating nothing reasonable, trying to take more money, etc. I don't think even the worst cases here will match it. Oh, and they will push ahead very fast with binding the remaining states into a united states of europe. So, in short, we should have stayed to prevent the eurocrats screwing up Europe, but have been ready to bail as and when we wanted to. |

No - it was a big mistake
but It's done and now everyone involved needs to work together and sort out how to proceed There is no need to rush - just get it done right |

Re: Did the UK do the right thing in voting to leave the E.U.
The EU needs to be careful in trying to 'punish' the UK
UK is the 2nd largest economy in Europe and if it fails, the UK will be in trouble They are still going to need to trade with the UK and putting tariffs on will harm their exporters - the UK is a big market for the likes of BMW, MB, Audi, Siemens, Alsthom, Airbus etc Calm heads need to prevail |
Re: Did the UK do the right thing in voting to leave the E.U.
It was a bad decision as there was no plan and a lot of misinformation. A con job.
