I don't get the big fuss either, as long as it's still warm, a few drinks by candle light will do us. Our pool lights up as well so it'll be nice to sit in the garden of evening with twinkly lights and a lit up pool maybe with a nice glass of wine. Ooh I'm looking forward to it now! 
.....Go easy Louise, all in good time. Can we expect an announcement soon of your love of dolphins...?
Have to admit, I like long summer nights.

And yes I adore long summer nights as well, I think they are ace however living in QLD it looks like I can kiss them goodbye so to make the best of a bad situation I'm buying garden lights and candles!

Since the dolphin thing started on this forum, we have seen a dolphin in the brisbane river
a shark 3 metres off shore, whales off the headland, first fins then entire whales, just yesterday the middle teen came home and had been swimming with a baby shark
off mooloolaba. Strange as I never noticed them before.
Sorry for thread hijack, back to the UK is a dreary toilet thread

People think dolphins are so sweet and nice...I remember seeing a doco where they said that dolphins along with man were the only animal that kills for fun! There was footage of dolphins killing a porpoise by tossing it around until it karked it. It was off the UK mind you so they could've been of the Chavnose variety.
