I have worked in trauma for many many years, seen this type of injury and treatment more times than you've been an idiot, that's all you need to know

They say he's in an induced coma, always wondered why they do that - does the brain heal better that way?

Yes,all his life support systems will be medically/mechanically maintained for him,tis routine for this type of injury.

Thanks, I remember hearing the same kind of thing about Schumacher, and wondered what the reasoning is for inducing a coma. Guess if allows the body to concentrate on healing instead of on actually breathing etc.

He's not even in the same league as Schumacher, they will slowly warm him up as he will have been placed on cooling blanket to protect brain etc then wake him up n hopefully all will be fine.

Just one less thing for the body to do. Hard to know what to believe in the media but they are saying he is still far from out of the woods.

It is also important to remember er the bloke that bowled the ball, even though he was doing what he and others had done a million times before that one delivery will change his life.

I personally don't care if it makes me a drama queen, I do feel sorry for this bloke.

Indeed, they don't go out there to injury people, intimidate, yes, but not injure.

Yeah can't do that. Need to look at better head wear to cover the bits they currently miss.
