I have the 2010/11 Ashes series on DVD. I watched the MCG test yesterday. On days like this it cheers me up!

I find day 1 at Adelaide has the same effect

NZ 31 for 3 ... Could be an interesting finish ...

England in big trouble. Maybe Australia need to promote Siddle up the batting order

Well done NZ you outplayed England for large part of this series but you've gotta hand it to England for getting out of that one. Broad took 106 mins to score a run.

I actually think a drawn series is the fair result overall.

The first test England were completely complacent in the first innings and got bowled out cheaply, but from there regathered and the test was always going to end in a draw on that pitch. There was a little bit of rain in that test but that wouldn't have altered the end result.

The second test, England were all set to win by an innings until Cyclone Sandra came through Wullington.

The third test NZ thoroughly deserved to win and England batted out for a hard fought draw.

So, overall the series score should have been 1-1 in my opinion, instead it was 0-0

Even if we had of lost I don't think much harm would have been done. And Australia would have been clutching at straws to take any consolation from Englands result. I believe England will put NZ to the sword on home soil before giving Australia a good kicking.
