England home and dry albeit with a nice little wobble at the end to keep it interesting for a few minutes. Still a top top performance and makes sure they stay ahead of Australia in the test rankings.

If you look at the 2 teams it would be a travesty if England were lower than Australia.

I'd be interested to know what international cricketers we have on this site, and where they have played. My own record includes New Hebrides (now Vanuatu, near Fiji), Corfu, London, Miami (opened the batting against a middle-aged Wes Hall; bowled for nought), Houston (sixes), several villages in the south of England on a tour by my Cayman Islands club (accompanied by Wes Hall's old West Indies bowling partner Charlie Griffith), and of course in Cayman itself.

I am one of the least competent cricketers in the entire world, but being willing to play has brought its compensations. Being willing to make the team sandwiches earned my appointment as team captain for a couple of years, here. And how many of you can boast of being ripped into by the great Charlie Griffith for poor fielding?

A couple of months ago I reminisced about playing in New Hebs and Corfu, in an October post on my personal blog (link below). It might amuse one or two readers on this thread - and might even coax some of them out of the woodwork to do their own boasting. Rank amateurs and no-hopers only, please.

Last summer (Northern Hemisphere), as a prank, I stole Kevin Pietersen's mobile phone and sent a heap of hilarious text messages to his entire contact book. Geez, how I laughed!

I am the most inept opening batsman you have ever seen, but closing in on 100 games for my club I make up for it in spirit and humour.

I'm not bad in the gully/point region either

Played once in the UK out at some windswept shitehole in Hoo, Kent.

Tough day for England in the last Test but KP stars again and Root digging in, good to see.

Shocking lBW against Cook but that's the way it goes sometimes. Just hope India get a few bad decisions as they are the ones against DRS.
Bell still on a poor run overall.
Well dug in at the end and if they can post 300+ that would be a good result from a poor start.

To be fair India have had the majority of the shockers go against them so far in this series.

I am also against DRS in its current form. I agree with the technology, however I disagree with its administration/use. It is being completely misinterpreted by the ICC and therefore we are still getting wrong decisions because of it.

Good day for England on a tricky deck ... A good chance of taking the series 3-1 but many twists to come I suspect ...

Kohli and Dhoni plodding along. Very slow progress but no wickets down.

In the other match, 4 good Sri Lankan batsmen weren't quite good enough.

What a great TEST match, firstly England in trouble but managed to post a reasonable first innings total of 330. Then Indian looking to be on the ropes at 4-86. Then a great fightback from Kohli and Dhoni taking them to what looked like would be a decent lead over England only to fall apart at then end and now look like falling short. 2 days left and still anything can happen, will England's batting hold up?? Will India collapse?? Great chance for a first series win in India for England in a very long time but it is far from a forgone conclussion.
More twists than a family bag of twisties.
