Sweet, hope they liven up a bit for you. They muted the Benauds 3 years ago, it was majestic

Dull my arse, this is turning into the sensational test that it promised to from day 1. Need to nail Lyon toute suite

Apologies Polly, the stars didn’t align to meet up, the day got kind of messy. :sneaky:

Aussies obviously ahead, Cook dismissal worrying, Root needs to do a Smith and get England leading by 200 to make a game of it.

1-0

As per usual the bowlers were the difference especially when you have batting sides as equally as shite as each other.

Adelaide looking good for England under lights. Jimmy Anderson will be licking his lips at the rare prospect of some swing.

Smith was the difference IMO, England were looking at a 100 run first innings lead before he took over.

That might have pepped the bowling up in the final innings.

Worrying lack of depth for England’s bowling stocks though, as I said Anderson and Broad can’t take them all ... Some pluses to be taken from the new batters Vince and Stoneman tho.

Need to draw level in Adelaide or it’s going to be a very, very long road.

It was almost a case of England v Smith when we were watching, and that was a fairly general opinion at the ground and in the pub. If England could've shifted Smith earlier it would probably have been a very different game.

So its down to the bowlers then. You might have better luck bowling under lights as Andersons only ace is swing.

Our local news network reckons he's signed for a local NZ outfit:huh:

Match fit for Perth test.

Driving down to Adelaide with a spot of fishing and golf on the way. Leaving soon. Not a hotel or AirB&B spare in Adelaide with the South Pacific Athletics champs on the same weekend.

Great planning Adelaide.

Got to mention Lyon too, looked dangerous with every ball and tied up an end in exactly the way Ali didn’t (cut finger and all).

He’s even got a new lippy attitude ... a Warnesque transformation?

Need to bounce back quick and for Stokes to cross the ditch for the 3rd Test.
