Yes, the posts stopped after SA had India in trouble on day 1 and no posts about England at all, going down 2-0 to Pakistan. Meanwhile someone beat someone else by over 200 runs in only losing 8 wickets for the match.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Even if we lose this series to India (I think we'll draw it), Australia would have to win everything and we'd have to get beaten by England 4 zip
Ain't gonna happen

Re: The Cricket Thread
1 Ratings haven't been updated since 5th Nov and SA and England lost and Aus and Pak both won since then.
2 Almost a case of insufficient data - SA have played fewer tests than any of the top 8 in the rankings period.
3 It will happen eventually that someone will displace SA, it's just a question of when.

2. So then all teams would need to play exactly the same number of tests for it to be anything meaningful. How many tests should they all play for it to be "sufficient"?
3. Sure it will, just as the ebbs and flows of all sport over time have revealed. But at this point in time they are number 1 in the rankings and have been for a fairly long time. If you don't agree with rankings then take it up with the ICC, as they run them.
