good thing about GC bid was most of the facilities are already existing eg Carara Stadium, Skilled Park Std, Convention ctr, etc. The SriLanka bid was stung by the controversial Delhi games.

Oh I know, it's still going to cost us big time though. Maybe I'll be a bit happier when they come round, all I can think at the moment is what a complete waste of money it is when there are way more important things to spend it on - same as always. Shame it was only between us and SL, there was never any chance of us not getting them.
