Australian Sparkling Wine, which is best?

Honestly mate.. If they are gastro gnomes or whatever a wine lover is... Cant be arsed to google it... And truely appreciate the cultural differences between fine european wines and aussie wine culture...You should treat them to a goon bag... You could serve a meat pie with sauce with it...
Go down a treat it would!

Bought a case of Verve Cliquot at Costco last week - $52(ish) a bottle - bargain
For overseas guests perhaps Chandon Vintage?

In Singapore we had a wine fridge but it seems to have died since we moved here, not getting cold enough. Pondering buying a new one but TBH it's way down the list at the moment, as essential as I feel such an item to be

I like your style, but do you have a wine fridge? I almost cried when my husband opened a bottle of Vintage Veuve (I don't buy Vintage, it was a present) and it tasted like vinegar A sad moment indeed to see it being poured down the sink.

Hmmm you may have to up the ante and go with the Kiwi gear.

Can you recommend any good NZ sparkling, ozzie? Always happy to try a few new ones, especially if I can get them off the shelf and not have to have a weekend in the Hunter to stock up.
(Yes I know I can get them delivered from the Hunter but don't tell my husband, OK? Got away with it for nearly 4 years now and keen to continue )

My personal favourites are Ninth Island Sparkling (from Tassie and available in a number of the big chains now) and Bunnamagoo Sparkling (from Mudgee and I've not found anyone apart from the cellar door selling it yet).

Adina (in the Hunter)do a good sparkling red and white- seems strange, but a sparkling red on a hot day is strangely refreshing, after the first WT***? sip.
Go for the novelty value.

Yeah...have to say I can't get into the sparkling red. We have a Tatler Sparking Shiraz in the cupboard from last month's wine tour but I doubt I'll be drinking any of it. The Geek likes it but then he's not a great fan of any whites.
I haven't previously been a fan of dessert wines either but tasted some recently that I did like, including a Shiraz Liquer Bought a bottle of that too. Was told to try a bit poured over ice-cream as well as drink it.
I'd like to go up to Mudgee sometime.

Ninth Island Sparkling is lovely, enjoyed a couple of bottles of that over the New Year, well worth sampling

If a sparkling Kiwi is acceptable, you could try Cloudy Bay Pelorus.
We like it and think it is excellent value for money. Costs in the $30's but tastes like something that would cost more.
