Look further down the forum home page to the Moving Back to the UK section. It's chock full of people who found that emigration was not for them.

No, not anything goes. There are site rules all posters are expected to abide by.

So just to clarify, was it the cost of the mushrooms or the rabbit incident that pushed you over the edge?

Sorry, but this must be an epic wind-up....

The rest of what you mentioned is viewed by many as the adventure part of things, the 'if i don't try it i will never know' part. If I'd considered it gambling with my kids future rather than offering them an opportunity, I would never have done it.
Unlike many people on these forums, we brought our business with us and so, unlike you, we spent our life-savings setting up that business here in Oz. Rather than opting for some nice cushy little office job, with a regular wage, we brought our own work. This strategy has not been without its risks as evidenced by the fact that late last year we came within two days of handing the keys to the house back to the bank. Apart from mentioning this fact in passing, I don't recall coming on these forums and crying about it, like you and your ilk do. The fact that you have more sympathy for a woman who spent 10 days here on holiday and went home because a zoo official wouldn't let her daughter pet a rabbit twice, speaks volumes.

You didn't disagree - you were just an ignorant shouty little man. As per. You waded in because nasty old Hutch was being wotten to the lubbly lady. Cos after all, I've only been here for three years, what could I possibly have learnt in that time to compare with the wealth of knowledge the OP has gathered in her glittering 10 days.

Possibly the realisation that the immense financial, emotional and life changing move to the other side of the world requires an incredible amount of continuous research.

Phew. I thought for a minute that you'd moved over lock stock and barrel and lasted 2 weeks - not that you'd be the first to do that, by all accounts.

Anyway, at least you found out for yourself that Easter is the same date in Oz as it is in the UK.
