Well as usual the women went off at a tangent in an attempt to diffuse the situation, but the (mostly) men just had to stir it up again.

I wrote a post on here regarding the reasons that people emigrate and return, with all the baggage the OP had I am amazed it was even considered in the first place, I wouldn't go anywhere near close with a 10th of that crap looming.

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to send e-mails without rereading them 50 times. If you can't see how others are going to see them then you should be outright banned - this would save billions of key board presses and lots of hurt feelings.

Oh it was too humid, oh working outside would be uncomfortable.... For the love of God (note the respectfull capital) we are not talking about Canada or Greenland.

If I decided to ignore what a policeman told me to do I would expect to be called worse than a prick!

I'm amazed that anybody could post such inane reasons for not liking a place on here and be surprised at a back lash.
Here we go - more Hutch brown nose brigade punters coming out of the closet!

You give none of these, you simply rip into people because you get some sort of joy out of it.
I think that comfortable office job of yours has addled your brain, Stephen. This forum's full of good sound advice I've given, such as this which was deemed 'sound' enough to be left as a sticky in a thread entitled, "To Do List/Useful Aus Links/Contact List/Top Tips/Rough Guide to BE". All you seem to have contributed is, ermm, endless pops at me. And some crying.

Can you point out the bit in my post where I take the piss out of the money she lost applying for her visa? Let me save you some time you knuckle-dragging pleb, it ain't there. I seem to recall that I took the piss out of the fact that she lasted 10 days in the country and went home because (amongst other far less serious grips) a zoo official wouldn't let her daughter pet a rabbit twice and a load of brickies on a random building site ignored her old man. Are you seriously suggesting that an animal minder in a bad mood would colour your first trip to Australia to such an extent? Maybe she should take the advice of the bloke in your avatar?

looool - Australia's Doorman - I love it.

I think your jet-setting new job has addled your brian, Stephen, if you honestly can't see the humour and utter absurdity in that original post.

Let's recap shall we? She found the weather in Brisbane humid. She discovered that you have to pay for healthcare. She arrived at the conclusion that a decent house in Brisbane cost more than $300k. She found out that parents pay for schoolbooks. She thought that (and I quote) "Australia was the promised land."

Two ****ing years she was applying for that visa and you're seriously trying to tell me that in all that time she couldn't type "Weather Brisbane" into Google, check out the cost of houses on realestate.com.au, have a look at the education.qld.gov.au website or visit the incredibly informative medicare.gov.au? Yea - it's a shame she's lost all that money, but research into a move to another country should probably extend beyond the kind of petting zoos you can take your kids to.

You know, you're like the bully's mate, always standing around in the background saying, "Go on, hit him, I'll hold your coat."

You are only EVER nice to people YOU decide fit into your cosy little pigeonhole. My face (along with countless others) never fitted in that box. So you bully and criticize.

Little man right enough.

Let me refresh your memory. You spat the dummy because I said that some of the tunes on the 'Share your mood with music' thread were tragic. All the more amusing since earlier on in that same thread you took the piss out of someone for posting a Duran Duran track. And you've been popping up like a reluctantly flushed turd ever since.

I did no such thing on 'share you mood with music' - i thought it was all quite funny actually, and the Duran Duran thing was light banter (the poster laughed with me and then Rick Astley was brought into the conversation, or someone equally as shite!) Is it not the done thing lightheartedly opposing of other peoples' music taste? Goes without saying, it's all a joke. A bit like the fart game.

As far as popping up like a turd - don't we all do that on here? Except some people just choose which turds they like the smell of, and the rest they want to flush away because they don't like the look of them!
