Why ? Because people have decided they aren't as in love with this country as you are they should be pitied or something ? The UK is a fantastic place to live, I'm sorry but just because you think it has gone down the toilet doesn't mean we all think that.

Chill out everyone. It's Australia Day (or almost) and a bit of shameless flag waving is acceptable, isn't it?

Funny, never seen that. All I ever see from you and your band of merry men is that if Australia is better then we must have lived in a really shit part of the UK. It isn't all about where you live you know, it's about the kind of life you have. If I won the lottery and my husband didn't have to work we would probably have a house in the Lake District and and house in Australia and alternate between the 2. The fact my husband has to be near a major airport or London to work limits our options somewhat. I am not prepared to subject my family to the rat race. There are some lovely places in the UK. Currently watching a lovely TV show called Hungry Sailors. They were in Dorset today, beautiful it was. Could i live there, absolutely. Is it practical for me to live there, NO. So don't judge all the UK haters as the same. England is a beautiful country but beautiful doesn't feed my family.

After a day of sand-bagging (not a euphemism) AND being currently pissed even I can't be arsed.

There is a link to a fantastic story at the end of that article, it absolutely sums up what I have said a number of times.
