Must admit i'm one of those people who found Australia to be overrated, people seem to over sell the country, I think it was basically the Australians (some individuals) who just bang on and on and on to the point where I had, had enough of the place..... It's not the best place in the world, how do you measure best place in the world, you would need to live for about three hundred years in order to try a few different contries....anyway thats just my viewpoint on this matter.

I agree with this statement totally, but I do feel that some Australians seem almost brainwashed into saying " best country in the world" even when for some this clearly is not the case.

Australia's better off than most of the world, as is any developed western nation, but all over the world there are people living lifestyles based on super wealth that the majority of us will never have. Should we feel pleased that this super wealthy class of people is sucking more and more of the worlds resources for themselves, at the expense of the rest of us? I'm not.
Like I've said before most of us will have to content ourselves with the fact that 'quality of life is what you pay for, a life is what pays you'.

Here was me thinking - whats wrong with Sunbury? Nice and handy for the M3 or M25 great location for anyone working in the business parks around the western fringes of M25 or along the M4/M3 corridor - an easy commute into central London and really convenient for Heathrow if you need to travel.....

I don't take a lot of notice of Australian Media, it's much the same as most of the UKs media - crap. I guess I notice it with politicians but to be honest, I still prefer that to the constant DM type crap that tells me Britain is down the plughole. I prefer the positive aspect to the negative one. I have enough crap in my own life to not get stressed/annoyed/wound up by outside stuff which is irrelevant to me. If a politician/media dick wants to tell me they think Aus is the greatest country in the world having never been anywhere else they can, doesn't mean anything and it certainly doesn't rub me up the wrong way, I couldn't care less.
