Australia, loads of feedback from aussies

Re: Australia, loads of feedback from aussies
Good for you mate.
I am giving an opinion. This is not bile but a considered subjective opinion.
I might get the T-shirt that The sun mentions it is so funny and for me almost true.
I know that many are happier in Oz. I'm happy, but I like a wee bit of hand grenade throwing.
There are folk on this forum who are incredibly smug and they need a verbal kicking and I'm so happy to oblige. It is better than watching hollyoaks and I can do it whilst listining to music and dealing with my accounts.

At a football match if a team has two syllables the supporters will chant the name followed by three claps.
In Oz the team's name will be followed by two claps.
Isn't that interesting?
Indicative of a general slowness in timing by Aussies.

Here's something you didn't know about British people;

Wikipedia definition of "Internet Troll"
"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional or disciplinary response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion"
...considering that is against site rules, maybe it is petty mindedness. But seeing as you are back in the UK and have no intention of coming back to Aus, why are you on here, other than to "throw a few hand grenades"?

We'll agree to differ on that point I think.
You're right I consider myself to be very foolish

People who are happy and mention it deserve a verbal kicking do they? Do the people who have moved back to the UK and are happy and mention it deserve the same verbal kicking? If you have issues with anyone you can a) ignore them; b) report them or c) give them a verbal kicking and find yourself banned.

I'm afraid I can't resist a spot of controversy.
I assume you would like me banned for not being a "OH!e isn't Australia wonderful type"

I'm happy, I dont consider myself to be boring nor smug. Life here has not been a bed of roses, in fact lately Ive been sitting on some pretty big thorns.
I am not a dullard, I am not deluded and I dont wear rose tinted glasses.
I just like living here.
Personally, I have bigger things to think about than what I left behind in the UK, I am too busy trying to look forward and concentrate on what is front of me.
You know what? When you continually slate someone for choosing to live their lives a certain way, you might find yourself missing out on the good stuff.
Live and let live (whether it be Oz or the UK or anywhere for that matter)

I suggest you hold back on the grenade throwing, it will only end in a ban of some period.

The realty is that debate has always been welcome. It's the people who make arses of themselves, however fleeting, that attract fire. And there are always a hardcore few, just like you get the occasional 'the UK is going to the dogs' post.
When people are negative on the MBTUK forum they get told to move on very quickly.
