Driving in Germany on the autobahn is cool! Until you get too close to the car in front then the cops do you big time! All about distance and speed, if you are doing 130mph you have to be a long way back from the car in front!!

That's only for cars newer than 2006 models. Any car built earlier than 2006 its +/- 10%.

My sat nav and my speedo show two different speeds and I'd imagine both are wrong! About 5kph difference.

The sat nav is far more accurate.

I thought that would be the case. It shows the actual speed as around 5kph less than my speedo, so i figured if I stick with the speedo reading I should be good!

Have to disagree from experience there, I was in a 110, doing 120 according to my speedo, 112 according to my satnav, and 125 according to the copper who gave me the ticket. I hate toyota and tomtom now

Actually, question. Just how accurate are the speed guns?

I got pulled over on New Years day back in Scotland. The roads were dead and I was late. I was doing 120 on the M8 and they pulled me over. Didn't get a ticket because they were just setting up and hadn't clocked me over the distance required, but they had me at 132mph. I don't think my old Audi could do that, I was flat to the floor as it was!

Only "accurate" if they are calibrated and operated properly.
