Just pointing out that I think the blue mountains are a bit dull (like much of Australia). I am used to living in areas of 'outstanding natural beauty' like the Peak district.:)

How does a man cope with suburban Queensland...on a daily basis with these privations??

Have to admit, I am not a fan of the bleak low-lying areas of the UK...
I have had my fill...I prefer higher altitudes...they look nice in pictures...

It's a personal thing.

Funny - I was born and grew up there. I could see Dovedale from my bedroom window, Were you a newbie who bought a nice little cottage in the dales, pushing out a local? Or are you Debyshire born, Darbyshire bred?

Shit, maybe I know you. I ran into a guy here in the middle of nowhere who came from Hollington and knew my ex GF.

Born in Derbyshire...educated in Oxford and Manchester....returned to, and worked in Derbyshire, before coming to dullsville.
