Actually the last time I drove from CBD to Waikiki it took 53 minutes and there was a hold up on the Kwinana Freeway at Canning Bridge...

Yes, I do wish I'd thought of it, but can I remind you people - as I constantly do with the Wanted Down Under TV show threads......

The person who posted that on ebay is a BE poster. She is probably reading this thread. If your friend were reading this thread and were feeling homesick, would YOU be happy about some of the comments here........
It may be partly tongue in cheek, but it may also be the equivalent of a cry for help. A couple of posters here have been compassionate, which is great - lets try and remember the spirit of BE - to help each other through ALL the emotions and feelings that result from migration.

Sorry, was thinking of someplace else. I do stand by the "hardly a thriving metropolis" statement, though.

I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

As someone said earlier it is very very sad when someone is so desperately homesick that they do something like posting on e-bay.

She is a regular poster on here (BE) and as Polly says you should show her some respect.

Do you not think that the public ridicule and humilitation that you are engaging in is not shameful, she is obviously desperate who knows how desperate, would you like it on your conscience if it tipped her over the edge. I really think this forum goes way too far as Polly says the point of BE is to help and support others.........................................:cu rse:

Polly I think this thread should be closed and deleted.

I, stupidly, wrote a very long response to all of the rotten posts on this thread. Then, I realised that you are all so up your own @rses that my response wouldn't make any of your opinions change so I deleted my post.

I respect Pollyanna's, Busterboy's, and Tillysmum's responses.

I hope that the rest of the posters on this thread never need any kind of help, you have just proved yourselves to be unworthy as human beings. Compassion costs nothing. I hope that you are never as unhappy as the person who is selling karma on Ebay. How very desparate must he or she be?

Why should I be ashamed of myself for asking if someone has told her about the new bbc programme? I meant to be kind but am being reviled for posting in this thread!

The new BBc programme is asking for people who want to go back to the UK and they will fund them for a holiday to see which they really prefer I thought this would be good for her!

I can say hand on heart that none of my responses were in anyway meant to upset the woman who has posted on Ebay.
I don't see anything heartless about most of the posts.
The woman who put herself on Ebay obviously has a fantastic sense of humour.

I may well be someone who gets homesick. I certainly would never diss anyone for it.

I think I must clarify although I said 'ALL' my comments were not intended for those such as Ashers who where only trying to be helpful, sorry if I upset you Asher not intended. It was aimed at those negative and p*ss taking comments. She is a regular poster on BE and very homesick not everyone "loves" Australia and some are desperate to leave but cant either due to money or circumstances.

So as the rules of The Barbie go, Play Nice.
