Okay. Time to fess up as it seems only a couple of people had the nous to work it out. Surely there were enough clues??? This entire thread was made up by members of another forum as a joke. Said members, I think it is fair to say, are generally members or ex-members of BE but wanted to have more fun and get away with more than was being allowed on here. It was intended as a spoof on those people that can't see Australia as anything other than the UK with sun, who take themselves too seriously, who think 21m Australians are wrong and they are right, who cannot take a joke, or who can cause an argument in an empty room. I think its fair to say that its runaway success proved the point. You know when you've been Tango-ed, but do you know when you've been *****-ed?

Sorry no point proved from this perspective. No fessing up needed. Surprisingly enough some people knew quite well what was going on and decided to let other people have their harmless and relatively pointless fun. Presumably now you don't mind if I close the thread. We assumed you were bored.
