Why would that be racist, it does not have any context to the place of origin. The values statement has been in place for over two years if memory serves me, and is a written undertaking for any permanent visa. Everyone has to sign up to an Australian way of life - not the "Australian race", if that makes sense.

Let's say authorities find you lying on your application (job history, criminal record, what have you) - that may be a reason to have the visa revoked, isn't it? Likewise, the values statement is part of the application, so if you go back on that part, why should it be any different to lying on the rest of the application?
