Good luck
3 months on the market, we have had 17 viewers (good you may say), but all of them have just said - 'we loved the house but just have a few more to look at', and we have not heared anymore from them - will have to drop the price soon.

Ouch the estate agent makes a huge difference, mine was on for 12 weeks, few viewings , changed agent, sold within 2 weeks...Same market...

strange but true, good luck tho it is a very painful experience selling a house,

We have just had 2 offers on the house in the last two days, the first one was laughable and we didn't have to even consider it. Today's offer has got us thinking though - do we hang on and try for a better offer or do we snap her hands off and book the flights (offer is not much below what we were wanting but still below).

Why dont you just ring them and tell them what you want for the house.

If they say no, you can always accept the bod afterwards. If you dont try, you'll never know.

Not even put on market. Sold to SIL for £15k below market value, but saved £8k in estate agents fees.

I'll get me coat...

I think you mean "LUCKY BASTARD"!!!!!

Really, I do feel for those who're struggling to sell - it must be awful when eveything else is in place but you can't go because you can't sell.

No, I think you are a BASTARD !!

Its called jelousy.

I wish every thing was in place. The only thing for us thats definite is that the removal company turn up on July 1st.

All I need now is the visa & somebody to buy my frikkin house.

But i'm not downhearted, I am still holding the faith, and although I never win on the lottery, I WILL win this one

When & where are you guys headed.

Paul

Eh? The movers are coming on July 1 and you haven't got the visa yet? How's that going to work?
We're off to Adelaide (initially at least) in late August.

Just spoke to the estate agent - they informed us that she has gone in with this amount as she will not have to pay stamp duty. EA - advised us to ask her to pay their fees still saving her quite a lot of money. She is coming around tonight with her daughter for another viewing - we have decided we might put it to her.

We are hopefully then off to Queensland (sunshine coast) asap - we have to be there by sept or else we must go on holiday.

457 sponsored.

veeeeeeerrrrrrry long story. Medicals & Xrays posted today.

If I dont get the visa, i'm fooked anyway. Ive resigned, sold my company shares, house up for sale, told everybody.

We have always said from day 1, if we dont get the visa, we are going on a years sabbatical. I'll just have to pay the movers a years storage.

Life if just 1 big gamble anyway.

thats the difference with 457 & 136

We have the insecurity of no PR. You guys have the security of PR but no work.

At the end of the day, if you want to work, and can work, you will find work. For some people, it takes longer than others, but if you persevere, you WILL get there.
