Re: From London to Barbados
Hi Sunniebgi,
Thanks for your message. I am a self employed Pilates teacher in London. I thought it will be hard only visiting for a few weeks on this trip so not imagining to pick anything up this trip but be great to make some contacts incase there could be any opportunity in the future. Or would be great to attend any expat event whilst there from mid to late June?

Re: From London to Barbados
There is a lot of information on this forum , and this thread as well, about moving to Barbados.. I think you might want to be a bit more specific.. retiring, job specific or just for the heck of it.. it's not as easy as "I'm looking at moving to Barbados".. there are work permits, residency permits etc.. to think about..

Re: From London to Barbados
Hi!
I am also relocating in October with my husband who has landed a job out there. My main concern is feeling lonely/homesick with not much to do.
Would be great to meet up.
I am from the UK.
Also - any thoughts on taking a dog out there? I have a 3yo cocker, would love him to head out with us but not sure how easy this would be?!

Re: From London to Barbados
I moved from London to Barbados just over a year ago. I'm a 29 year old female, haven't really made any proper friendships (I find I'm greeted with hostility, don't know why ). Looking for friends around my age who like working out, shopping, art, drinks/dinner etc
Thanks
Rachel
Thanks
Rachel
I'm in the same boat. Been here a year, I have made a few friends and slowly adapted to life here. I gym regularly so message me if you need a gym buddy.

Hey girls, im moving to Barbados next year - only 22, but will be 23 at the time of moving. Would really like to have some friends to go over too. Love swimming, hiking, walking my dogs (whom I will really miss - so if you have dogs a huge bonus for me ha-ha!)
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Pja and welcome to the forum
You are more likely to get a response to your questions if you set up your own thread - each individual situation is different so asking if someone else sorted theirs may not be the same situation for you. If you are 24 and do not have a sponsorship via a company for a work visa or have status by descent or marriage then your options are limited but as I say better to set up your own thread
