Not between Dilmah and Twinnings, because Twinnings would win, but between Dilmah and some dirty bush bog water slightly warmed with a bit of sugar stirred in!

I had the pleasure of meeting Stephen Twining in Sydney around 5 years ago, he was a very nice guy and gave me a sample of the premium silver tips tea, very nice, although he did look rather shocked when I asked if you could put milk in it

You can take a man out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of a man.

Twinings Traditional Afternoon wins hands down for me but it depends how you like your tea. I like flavour - strong and full so I can still taste it when I add the milk. Even the Tetleys British Blend here dont do that for me. They should call them "Tetleys British Blend Modified for the Australian Market" cos they taste like dishwater to me. Not that I know what dishwater tastes like.

Treats from Home moved to the Glasshouse centre on Pitt St (top floor near Medicare).

For teabags the best we've found are Aldi Strong round ones

A few weeks ago Aldi were selling Yorkshire Tea - kept the whole box for myself and enjoyed it but really I'm happy drinking any English Breakfast tea now.

Good luck with finding those treats from home for special occasions.

Very happy that I now know where to buy gammon in Melbourne just wish it were a bit cheaper - we only have it a couple of times a year and for anyone who cares it's from www.robsukproduce.com.au, ooh and you can now get individual pork pies from Woolworths.

Blitzed Boots this week to replenish my medicine cupboard. Now looking for help - pills here called Colpermin absolutely amazing - can someone in Aus please tell me if they have ever seen them there, if not, any suggestions on the nearest equivalent? Can't track them down on Aus Google, and I'd like to know whether I should bring loads of packets back with me.....?

There was me thinking you meant Hunter Wellies and not the store.

Hi Polly

I just had a quick look and found Mintec http://www.chemistaustralia.com.au/p...psules-60.html and Bioglan IBX IBS + Indigestion
http://www.bioglan.com.au/vitamin.asp?productID=104

It looks like you can get similar products here, but if it were me, I'd shop in Boots while I could.

I hear ya!

We're very spoilt in that our local Coles sells Yorkshire and PG. But, I personally swear by Bushells Rounds. Have dabbled in all of the Tetleys (became quite excited when I spied the Tetley Extra Strong but again was left wanting!). Rounds all the way in our house.

That link shows Pharmacy2u. They ship quite happily and very reasonably (cheaper than Boots or used to be) to Aus so you don't need to load up and you don't need to worry about finding it here.
