Scissors, pliers, stanley knife etc ...lol
It had been on a few weeks, but the mixing of booze and the pain killers I had was NOT recommended! ...lol
Silly me.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw out that recommendation. I've said my piece earlier in the thread about the topic, and just trying to be helpful with my 'pool cue' advice! ...

For an unbiased opinion
you can ask my Dutch fiance, who has been to both.Luby's does cafeteria-style comfort food. If you grew up eating it, it'd probably appeal. If you're in a real hurry but sick of hamburgers and fried chicken, it'd probably appeal. Otherwise?
GET OUT!
Houston has loads of cultural things that Austin does not get, so enjoy those. OTOH the traffic, the crime, and the humidity I can well live without. I grew up in Corpus Christi, which has the same blinding heat and humidity with zero of the culture and shopping opportunities that Houston offers. You are also near world-class medical care should you need that.
There are plenty of good restaurants in Houston but I wouldn't class Luby's there. It's a class of its own, especially those of us who went to church every Sunday and Luby's for lunch afterwards (and that was the only time we ate out!). To this day I'll order what I did when I was 6.

I have seen PUK pour out some pure bile on here and I believed she had changed when she made an apology. I also saw her tear shreds off another poster the other day (asking about maids ).

I don't know where this was supposed to of happened but if it did maybe this is what you are talking about?
I really don't think we should be discussing PUK (Good or bad) here either as she has decided to delete her account and is not here to defend herself, let it lie.

I have been coming and going on this forum under the name of Whisky and also Suzanne crabtree for well on and over 3 years.
It definately goes in cycles on here.
What we all need to remember is that although this forum is a fantastic site to be on whilst going through one of the most strenuous times in our lives, as there are others going through the same things and we are able to communicate with them. (I remember that time vividly) We are all at our most vunerable too.
We then get the people that are here and realise that maybe, what others have told them about the not so good things, could possibly be right, and then it gets into the 'mixing pot' on this forum, and its bound to get a bit feisty at times.
I remember some of the real nasty things, and used to get really upset about it all and say that I wasn't coming on here any more.
I have my breaks, and certainly don't post as often as i used too. I come on here and read a lot, which takes me back to the time we were in the process of moving.
My advice to 'you' on this forum, is take it all with a pinch of salt.
Come here if that is what your heart is telling you to do.
Don't be disapointed and hurt if it isn't what you thought, and feel that you want to go back, as you can tell yourselves that 'you have been here and tried it and it isn't what you were looking for'.
I used to think that what we would call the 'negatives' were just being nasty, but there is a lot of truth in what people say on here, it just depends on how you read it, and how badly you are going to let them get to you when you get here and find that'ooh yes, so and so was right about that, but it doesn't affect me in any way'.
I have been here 2 years in October, and my style of life is better in many many ways, and i can't imagine going back to the UK at the moment, but there are many things that I miss. Many very small, but if I were to let them all pile up and get to me, my thoughts would be that i wanted to go back.
I know that after I had stepped off that plane and been there a couple of weeks, I would be pining to come back to Oz.
How I will feel in the future, Who knows, but I will promise myself, that i will never regret having DONE IT!!!!!
Good luck to you all.

No you misunderstand. I dont want to talk to you because you appear to be one of those people who do nothing but pick and niggle at things. Hey if it floats ya boat enjoy it.
You keep saying things like leave it, don't discuss it cos they arnt here etc. I say to you in plain and simple terms. I will talk about what I want when I want. Megs is not a troll.
