That got me thinking ..... The moderators can ban any member if they feel like it - BUT, is there a way us members can get a moderator banned who has gotten out of hand ..... :mad: !

Actually I think the moderators have been doing a simply sterling job. The job in question seems to be of late, policing the school ground. I come onto this board to read relevent australian threads not read endless non related drivel or be treated to an insight of a dubiously balanced individual with nothing better to do than troll forums as some sort of mind sport.

Until such people are genetically deselected by nature, the moderators do a brilliant job I reckon. /applaud

THEN, you have BIG itches! ...lol, so big plus the fact that you have had too much to drink, you cut your plaster off! ... :D

Had to go back to A & E the next day with my plaster in a bag ...... in pieces! ...lol

So the moral of the story is ........... make sure the tip aint loose before you go diggin ! ... :D

This thread seems to have become about something else now but since I just came online I wanted to reply to the original poster.

I'm a relatively new member. I like BE and have got some useful bits of practical advice on here. It can be cliquey and it does get used as a chat room by people who seem to know each other well, and there are a lot of arguments lately - but I've got used to being ignored sometimes and just don't get involved in the arguments!!

However I did stop using it for a while and have a couple of friends who won't even log on anymore because of all the negative posts. I'm not looking for an argument about whether people should post negative things and I think everybody is entitled to post what they want but I do think this is why often people seem to join very enthusiatically and then stop posting.
Right now I live in Texas of all godforsaken places(!) and I do know that moving to a new country is hard but I also know that reading all about why things didn't work out for someone else beforehand and what they hated most would not have helped me settle here.

But as I say i like reading the forum sometimes and giving advice when I can and when I see a thread titled something like "What do you hate about Australia?" I just don't choose to read it.
