Morning all !
Just returned from our hols and YES we have a SOLD sign - as you see from my Avatar - sold sign has been my holy grail!! 
(lets hope it stays that way!!!) Hoping to move out to QLD beginning of Nov!
Spoke to solicitors - I am trying to get a 12 week completion !?! That way we could just leave our house and get shipped from here! Hope the buyer is up for it but not wanting this to jeopardise a sale though - Just don't fancy moving from here, and into short term let until Nov and having to move twice!
So here's hoping for a nice amble to the completion deadline end of Oct (I wish

Update - Well the exchange date has been set for the 13th August (FRIDAY 13TH AUGUST not unlucky for us I hope !) so all being well it will go through
All of the paper work is just about done, survey / valuation completed, there shouldn't be any hidden surprises touch wood
I just want that exchange done and dusted then we can really start thinking about our air tickets and our departure date. There will be still lots and lots of hard work and stressful times but at least then we know we are free to get on with it !

Well, we've had our house on the market since mid March and had our first viewing on Saturday. They didn't have their house on the market. We've just had a call from the agents; they have booked a valuation for their house with the same agents as us and hope to have it on the market soon and they want a second viewing this Saturday. I know it's early days but it does give us hope especially that there is interest since we lowered the price by £20k, we obviously had it priced too high.

We are counting down the days, please god don't let it fall through now. The people down the chain buying the house of our buyer are cash buyers with no property to sell of their own at the moment, so they are bottom of the chain and seem committed
The person buying our house came around at the weekend to measure things up and had a good chat and is very happy.
Things are going well now, please let it stay that way
